  • Check out the categories and criteria for the 2016 Landscape Awards.
  • Select a landscape or two in your area to represent your chapter.
  • Get moving – the deadline is March 18th. .

  • Prestigious local press release promoting your chapter.

Increase your odds of success…

Print out the first two pages of the Landscape Awards application (back-to-back on the same sheet of paper) and create awareness by distributing to local organizations including:
  • Chapter meetings and events
  • Garden Centers
  • Elementary Schools with Butterfly Gardens
  • Master Gardeners
  • Local business groups such as the Chamber of Commerce
  • Other organizations
    • Notify your City and County Governments
    • Send a  Community Notice for radio announcements

Hi, I came across this blog while trying t identify a plant I'm observing in Southwest Florida for a research project. At first I thought the population was Beauty Berry but there are some features of the plants that do not match up. Is there any way I can reach out to one of the bloggers and send pictures of the plants I'm researching in hopes that someone can help me identify them? I would be appreciative of any help!

Also called Romerillo, Beggar’s Tick, Spanish Needle or Monkey’s Lice, this Florida native wildflower is the third most reliable source of nectar for pollinators in our state. There would be many starving bees and butterflies if not for the Bidens family of flowers. More so, Bidens alba and its sister plant, Bidens pilosa , are both edible and have medicinal value. Yet, many gardeners have a love/hate relationship the plant, and some even consider it a pesky weed. Why?
